gearbox sticks in 3rd gear
I have a 1996 ford falcon wagon automatic and it seems to be getting stuck in 3rd gear. It stays in 3rd gear sometimes when you stop and take off again and won't go into overdrive even when the selector is in overdrive. Whether the selector is in 1st, 2nd or 3rd or o/d it is just locked in the one gear (3rd). But you can stop and put it in reverse and it will go backwards. I thought it could be a sticky valve in the box.
