No, I don't have a scan tool although I'm looking for one (not many appear to do AU Falcons).
I will clean the throttle body and IACV as suggested.
I have already tried to set the base idle to 700rpm with IACV disconnected but upon reconnection the idle speed goes way too high (1200rpm). Perhaps after adjusting I need to clear the "Keep Alive" memory so it can re-learn the idle settings.
The book did say to go into KOER mode when doing base idle and I read somewhere that the ECU will retard the timing if it sees no IACV connected (unless in KOER mode).
Anyway, will try cleaning and resetting as suggested, thanks.
