Hey guyz..

Next week im finally going to get my car on the dyno! Im not really interested in the power figures (I dont expect much) but rather to fix some problems that have developed in my EFI system. Low idle and some ignition problems. Im taking the car to APC on logan road, underwood. Has anyone had any dealings with them at all?? I spoke to nick and he suggested getting it on the dyno for a tune. What can they actually tune?? He said they test the timing and mixtures and anything else requires ECU reprograming. >:(

Good decision there dude.

A dyno tune, if done properly will test everything.. ignition system, fuel system sensors etc etc.
Once the EFI system is A1.. the timing can be set for max power if you request it.

I went with a mate to get his very un healthy Skyline dynoed. I was amazed at how many little problems they picked up.
They even picked up on the corrosion in the injector connectors.
Within an hour the thing went from being a big slug.. to a very healthy sounding engine... with it's deserved grunt.

Basically, the worse the car is running, or the more mods that have been done to it, the more room for improvement there is on the dyno.

Hey Garth, $120... plus maybe other bits, plugs, leads if needed.
Im actually interested now to see what sorta power figure i get from the old girl.. I can then compare it against other FF guys (ones with sedans) and see weather or not its the exrta weight thats bogging me down.

im gonna get mine done for $83 but that is just for the tune, that doesnt include the price of parts etc, but im getting mine done so it doesnt use so much gas, ive been told that the only way to get good results from tuning gas is on a dyno
