im about to buy a EL Fairlane Ghia, for 8000 bucks
the catch is it has 600,000 kms on the clock haha
is this a good deal?
ive had a drive of it, so smooth the body is in mint condition and got the tickford rims
Yea man... sounds OK. Even if the donk is rooted... go get a rebuild and yer still in the bargain category. You will most likely wanna revamp all the suspension and shit anyhow...

Mate, with that many kays I wouldnt just be worried about the engine!. With high kays liek that it wears the whole car out.
I'd take a miss if I was you.
Yeah, they do last a while. If you're planning to do her up then go for it, but she's probably a bit old if you just want a reliable daily driver; you're looking at replacing wheel bearings, engine, possibly gearbox parts in the near future with a 600 K car.

well there was an EF in the paper with 650k on the clock for $3000, admittedly it probably wasnt as clean as the one you are looking at but for $8000 it seems alot of k's to overlook

oh the one i looked at, is in imactule condition,
its not leaking any oil,
it was a limo car, but not a limo, just got the kms from constantly going to canberra to sydney and back and forth heaps of times
so i say its not thrashed
oh i love it!
the suspension and gear box have already been done
so even if i have to spend 3000 on the engine, its still only gunna cost me 10000 for a EL fairlane ghia which is in awesome nik!
