99 AU XR8, Auto, Galaxy Blue, 155km, full bodykit, 1 owner RWC & Reg. $20,990?
Car is in a car yard. I'll have a drive and a good look over it when they are open on monday. It sound's pretty good to me, but it's always good to get a second opinion.

One more thing, Did the AU XR8 have the twin piston brake calipers standard?

Sound's allright, does it have any option's like bodykit,tickford rim's,momo wheel etc,obviously the one's with option's will be worth more and IMO the AU I XR's look fantastic with the body kit,but if the car is mechanically sound and the rest is of neat apperance than that's not a bad price,go for it.

Yeah I just edited it before, but it still didn't change the topic name. Anyway it has a bodykit. I dont know about anything else the place wasnt open i just saw the add in the paper. I drove to the place and saw the car from behind the fence.

If it's got a momo wheel/knob that would be great, if it doesn't well I will put them on anyway. I wouldnt have loved a sunrof aswell, but I guess you can't get everything.

It's an auto too. I have been drving an EL Xr6 manual for the past year and a half and although I love manual, my increased Melbourne driving causes me to get a little tired of engaging that heavy clutch, and using that crap shifting and crunchy t5 box.

nah thats from Au2 on,its a must though.

Yeah i know that the twin piston calipers were standard on AUII across the range. The AU XR series (or XR8) had them optional though yeah?

I was looking on Redbook.com.au and found the following

average kms 75,000 - 95,000
trade in price guide* $19,200 - $22,100
national average price - private sale* $21,500 - $25,000
price when new (RRP) $46,490

That is for a 99 AU XR8 auto with no options. Although the car has done nearly double the average km, it still does seem lke good value considering it has a bodykit, and the fact that those prices quoted by redbook are almost always undervalued.

I can't wait till Monday to take this baby for a drive.

OKay took it for a drive today and this thing hammers! It felt positively quicker than both my car and the EL1 Xr8 manual i drove a few weeks ago.

They ofered me a trade in price for my car of $11,500. It's a 11/96 EL Xr6 manual with superlows, camber kit (GT bushes), EL GT mockups (genuine centre caps), momo gearknob, SOny Xplode headunit, 12months reg, 179,000km + RWC. Accepting offers of $12,000 or above. PM me if interested or reply to thread in Cars for sale.

Yeah and if you get it, it would go even better with the Herrod full exhaust and Unichip and Air filter,the sound alone is enough to crave.

let me know if you sell your car as i have an AU XR-8 Manual that i Would considder selling for around that price of the one that you are looking at
it has the 17" wheels, full electrics ect & only 40,000 kms
manual & done the last 20,000 kms by my wife

Gee that sounds pretty good rod. Very low km too. SO you would sell with rwc for 21? I dunno know manual or auto. hmmmm
