Hey. I got beaten from traffic lights by an AUI auto Fairmont!!!! See, it was my Dad at the lights, next to me. Didnt realise he was gonna make a thing out of it and he revved the shit out of it and took off - took me a second to realise what he was up to... so I planted the foot and took off after him.... and I couldn't catch the bugger! I know I was second behind but I honestly thought I would catch him - but I didn't!!!!

Hmmmm.... My Dad is a highly naughty but adorable individual who is 62 tomorrow. He used to race so he does know what he is doing - and the sneaky bugger caught me napping - and don't ya think he loves this! He is getting his car run on a dyno this week so he can brag about it some more!!!!
I can see what you are saying about the start though and I get that. However, I would have thought that I would have roped him in - had foot flat to the floor and was not gaining, after the first change was done, etc.... he wasn't gaining on me but I couldn't catch him! He has a 2 inch exhaust on the thing but I wouldnt have thought it would make that much difference - even he was surprised coz we drive each other's cars all the time!
I am taking it back to my guys to run another dyno just in case coz they were shocked too.
In any case, there WILL be a rematch sometime very soon, I can assure ya - this is not gonna go away. But at least I didn't lose to a Commie, a ricer or some Magna or Camry! But I hate losing. I think I shall defintely sell this one and get the T - that'll shut him up! He he. I hate losing.
I know the AU is fast enough, have driven enough of them. But this hurts!!!
