got a intercooler off ebay tonight. It was a bit of luck as I put a bid on earlier in the week and my max bid was $370...anyway, I was outbid by this other guy that paid $405 for it. But then in my email tonight was a second chance draw stating that the winning bidder hadn't paid up so it was offered to me at my max bid price of $370. So I clicked 'buy it now' and there you have it
Its a universal fit cooler, bar and plate design, core size 600x300x80mm with 3" outlets. Should do the job nicely. Dunno when I'm gonna get time to fit it though as I'm busy every weekend for July :( I'll try and get some pics when I pick it up on the weekend.
Do you have link to these intercoolers. They sound pretty cheap.
Where are you going to fit it? In front of headlights or behind? do you think you will need to modify your bumper? What are you doing with your aircon bottles?
Dan

here guys try this link to the auction, there's a pic on the page although it might be a little different from the one pictured as in the description it says the outlets are at the top on one side and bottom on the other.
Jack, yeah saw the guy you are talking about...he had heaps of those coolers selling a while ago. Now he's selling the ones with the TRUST logo sprayed on them. I thought about getting one of them as they were going cheaper than most of the other auctions plus they have aluminium end tanks. However, I left it too late and he's not selling any 600X300 core ones at the moment. Why don't you go and pick it up? They are up near Broardy aren't they?
Dan, it's going behind the bumper...no mods to bar cause I don't wanna attract cops. I might only cut the little plastic middle bit out if you know what i mean? Just to get a bit more air flow. The air con has been removed for now.....its been gas-less for 2 years anyway
