Got my car dyno'd

Got it run on an old out of date POS but it was cheap so what the hey!

I got 90kw @ Full Song in 2nd gear
and 1400Nm Torque.

Interesting to note that my speedo was out but +4% so I am driving faster than the indicated speed.

Re: Got my car dyno'd

That sounds very wrong to me.. They should put out far more than 90kW - you say full song i.e. 90kw @ 5500rpm or 90kW max power..

I'd be looking for something wrong there.. Maybe the throttle is not opening fully..

Dan..

I agree mate, a 4.0litre ED engine with Extractors and Exhaust should be putting out a bit more. But he did say that it's an old out of date POS.
PS: I realise that it's RWkW.

Re: Got my car dyno'd

I had an NA wif a 4.0lt EBII engine, 2.5in single muffler zorst and an XH snorkel wif K&N filter that did 108rwkW. and i assume 1400Nm is actually 400Nm?

1400nm must have been the torque once at the hweels which means it has been increased by the gear ratios.

I too think 90kw is too low, and yes the dyno was really old and didn't even produce a graph.

Apparently there is a better computerised one nearby that I may go get a second opinion.

Also the car is due for its service. A major service, that gets done tomrorrow. I'll see about getting it run again and report back.

Re: Got my car dyno'd
