Hi all,
every now and then after a spirited drive in my BA XR8 i get a hissing noise from under the bonnet, it sounds like someones letting a tyre down, then it dissapears after 10 seconds. I have tried to locate it and it seems to come from behind the engine on the right hand side.

Any help/advice/enlightenment would be great:)

It probably migration / equalisation in the Air Con, mine make a a racket when stopped. Its nother to worry about.

Na its the holden drivers mate. I have a noisy a/c pump it wines as the revs rise and can only be heard with the windows down. I Also get the noise your talking about and i dismissed it as the aircon, mine only lasts for a few seconds 5 atm. But im pissed about the noise im getting since i got it lowered, going down to PEDDERS on monday for the 4th time to get them to fix it failing that im going to beat the clown round the head with a solid object he might even put the next lot in right way up.

Same here on my XR8. Its the aircon.

my a/c drips heaps of condensation out, some people think ive got a hole in my radiator, but the weather in qld is humid so what do u expect,
might as well quench the xehaust with it .

yeah my XR8 does the same thing for about 5 secs, but my dads does it for longer about 10secs
