Apparently, Holden are releasing a turbo engine, just like the XR6T ? I could be wrong though... I've heard that due to Holden's less appealing supercharged engine is not the go anymore so they are looking into turbo'ing a 6 ?

Can anyone shed some light on this topic ?

I have heard a similar rumour that Holden's next V6 could have a turbo variant, possibly twin turbo. Still just rumour at this stage.

it would probably be the most unreliable turbo car out there

I think it's just another way Holden are trying to compete with Ford... good luck to 'em, they are like sheep IMO.

think the turbo engine is reserved for saab etc. But maybe they would put a stripped down version of the engine, i dunno.

I personally wouldn't have guessed twin Turbo, but thought another supercharged engine for sure. I think with their new HFV6 engine around the corner, supercharging it would make sense. I'm sure they could match Ford with a 240kW Supercharged V6??? I think standard the V6 is going to be around the 200kW mark?

From memeory, the turbo engine is 3.2L and Holden will most likely use the 3.8L

I think the new Holden DOHC V6 Turbo will be a weapon. No doubt the power will be around 240-250kw. Don't think for one minute that it won't be powerful. I welcome it as it can create some great competition amongst the Australian local car market which only benefits all of us.

I'm curious to how it will go against the GenIII lineup.

The new Holden standard V6 will be 195kw and the Single turbo version will be 275kw out of the 3.8L all alloy V6 redline 6800rpm Cut off.

The V6 has always been a willing revver.
