v8capri

I am considering buying a ba fairmont 220 kw v8 3v.
it goes real slow !
what can i do to improve this ?
what gains should I expect ?
I drove a mates vx ss with pipes and exhaust and it hammered compared to this !
I don't need to beat him but want something simular !

They might be slow off the mark however they are electric motor smooth. Having VVT compared to the Boss range I think the upcoming edit program will be able to do great things for this engine if setup right. Visit the Herrod sight to at least get ideas as I think this engine in particular had it power figures set low to sit in between the I6 and XR6T.

yeh once the EDIT comes out they definitly will get some decent power with an exhaust and intake mods, i would think 260+ kw would be easily acheivable. then once some cams are brought on the market, they will be weapons. and the torque would be very nice....i just want one

If BPT adapt their new manifold to fit the SOHC 5.4 i would think it would make a decent improvement over those stock bannanas. Some nice headwork and decent sized cams and it should boogy.
