How hard is it to steal.....

How hard is it to steal a car with smartlock?????, no alarm just factory smartlock?????

When new, the system proved basically impossible to steal. But thieves eventually worked out how to crack the system. As a general rule, it should stop an amateur in his/her tracks, but it would be a joke to a professional thief...

Keep in mind, that while smartlock may help to prevent your car from being stolen, it does absolutely NOTHING to prevent your car from being broken into...


I know a guy who had his CD stacker stolen from his boot, because the car had no alarm...

the reality is that you can never stop the "Gone in 60 Seconds" type (question: how many of them steal Falcons though??).

the best you can hope to do is deter drunk bogans who want your Motorhead CD or can't afford the taxi fare home
