Well ive got Superlows + Munroe Sensatracs, and its definatly very rough over bumps+man hole covers/change in road surface etc, enough to make things in the glove box bounce, and the dash to move up and down 2cm+. Also i can hear the suspension moving when i go over bumps etc.
I took a ride in a mates EB1 Spac(standard suspension), it is just 100x quieter and feels 10x stiffer in the body, with less bumps etc.
Does everyone with superlows or the like experence things like me? and is it way way rougher than standard?
cheers.
(I think i need to take some of the SA boys for a quick drive on a meet to see what they think.)

hey mate, my EF is the same. not quite as harsh as your talking about, but i know where your coming from. i'd rather have it hard though.
yea take me for a cruiz next time. will compare it to mine. what car you got again??
when i had my back end slammed it used to suck even driving down the street. no idea why, after a while stuff in my dash started coming loose, one of the reasons why i took the springs out. i was on standard shocks too, so it was kind of bouncing around more then jumping around, if you get my drift. i just figured it was something normal with lowered ea's.

Mines an EA, its got proper short stroke shocks in so its definatly not bounding arround, but over the last 3months ive had a few rattles apearing in the dash that wernt there before i lowered it. One in the steering column of all things :(

might want to go to a either suspension specialist or a reputable workshop, quotes should be free, no harm, just get them to check out the steering pump and there is some sort of switch for the pump (or some shit) they usually go on ea's.

While cruising under light throttle, usually with a heavy car load, I get a weird noise coming from my rear suspension. After quite a while I found out that its the cols of the springs vibrating and hitting each other, apparently very common with king springs. The VS etc has problems with the front, and The E's have it in the rear.
An easy way to get rid of the sound is to put a plastic hose all the way through the spring.
Bumps are also harder then standard, but I guess thats expected.
Are your shocks any good?
Personally, I think the rattels are related to the audio system. I noticed that as my system got louder, nuts and bolts became loose (tail lights, rear bar etc) and things started making noise.
I reckon It might be your sub that has started it all.
When you get the spare time, you might wanna start sound deadening everything.... I have been avoiding this for the past 4 years :)

Bass, i know the exact problem. My sub has broken the gas struts in the boot, not the strut itself, but its broken the welds of the mounting point, and with an LPG tank, its almost impossable to reweld it in there, hence the boot making noises over bumps etc.
Yeah Sound Deaning is on the cards these uni holidays. Im going to go mental and do everything in site. Not cheap though :(.

i deadened my boot lid - it did wonders to both the rattles it made and the sound of my setup. i used flashtac, expanda foam and a litre of gripset. havent done the quarterpanels, though. ive done under the back seat and the inner wheel arch though. i might buy another roll and do some more - its much harder putting the stuff on in colder weather though, even with a heat gun...
ive noticed my brothers EB fairmont has tar-style deadening under all the paint in the boot, on the floor, everywhere, plus the carpet style stuff under all the carpets, on the door trims. all this as standard makes for a much quieter car - and a good base for an audio system.
with the rear bar, i had these clips loose that made the bottom of the bar loose - look under the bar and youll see what i mean. i took them all off and bent them so that theyd press harder against the bar, then put them back on.
my dash has some rattles that ive tried to kill unsuccessfully, and i have stock suspension!
I'd say the rattles are cause by your suspension mate.
You know my car Walki, it is exactly the same, basically because there is so little give in the suspension the impact/shock of a bump and re******t movement has to finish somewhere, my dash use to rattle like a mofo, since we put it back in it's fine again, but eventually it will comeback.
Dun think Ford where ever thinking people would lower falc's as much as some of us have, eseentially because my suspension has no travel, it is shaking the rest of the car apart
Might just need to tighten some nuts and bolts mate
