Re: How many kilometres has your Ford done lately?
My 2005 build XR6 Turbo has only done 2065 KL and has a Faulty door rubber on the right hand side and the colour which is Rapid does not match on all panels
Re: How many kilometres has your Ford done lately?
Although my EB V8 has done 297,000km, I checked in under 300-500k coz it'll be in that range within a month (I do a lot of driving).
I had problems with the cooling system at around 270,000km ($700ish), and had the power steering rack replaced at 280,000km ($400ish). A relay to the fuel pump was replaced at 290,000km ($20, hahaha!). I'm including the relay coz it meant my car wouldn't start often.
The auto was meant to be reconditioned or replaced at 250,000km, but it's running fine and receives all kinds of treatment. Current shifter to be replaced with a BA item can't wait for SSS!
The engine is currently unopened, but I'm looking forward to fitting some better heads, intake manifold, and a cam around June. Then hopefully by mid-late '06 I'll have a rebuild done before whacking on a blower. If for some reason I decide against supercharging, I'll hold back from the rebuild too, as she's not blowing smoke.
I regularly get 500+km to a tank, and get around 600km to a tank if a couple of trips to melbourne are done. This is on 91RON fuel.
I can see this thread attracting all kinds of Ford owners with all kinds of stories to tell Good thread!

So you spent $1,120 on stuff that was worth to fix? thanx 4 complimenting.
Re: How many kilometres has your Ford done lately?
Well there have been other things (normal consumables) like brakes, tyres, etc.
Also I tried to sell the car early last year and I spent $ on an RWC (I got taken to the cleaners on that one) and then got dicked around by wood ducks.
But since paying for the RWC the car had been pretty much trouble free, apart from getting thirsty when the plug leads were on their way out. But that's normal stuff that comes with age I spose.
Re: How many kilometres has your Ford done lately?
7/03 XT Auto with LSD and 17's. Now done 70000km (mainly highway!)
Brake shudder (fixed twice - 30000km and 60000) - guess it'll have to be done again at 90kkm.
Steering rack clicking - fixed at request.
Print is wearing off Cruise arm button and radio band select button on s/wheel.
I've had 3 punctures.
One set of tyres. 2nd set half gone (Bridgestone gIII)
Has high pitched clicking /ticking noise ? from engine under load (mainly when cold)
The handbrake was "adjusted" at the 45000km service (despite no apparent problems with it!) - it then needed full travel to engage. At 60000km I asked dealer to fix it (Gorells in Geelong), pulled up otside house when home (Melbourne) and took foot off handbrake - car rolled backwards. Not happy . Fixed now. Finally.
It has that annoying rubbing sound from the rear wheels right worse than left ? handbrake sticking / rubbing. Apparently common - listen next time a BA goes past at slow speed, esp if rear seats/boot full.
I still like it........... but the XR6 turbo is coming in July (6sp manual)!

'04 BA XR6 demo. Purchased with 5,500km 12 months ago. Now up to a grand total of 7,900km. Thats nearly 2,500km in a year... I should get it out of the shed a bit more!
