I bought a HOLDEN!

OK, don't panic people, it's purely a money making excersize, and not a daily driver.
It's a VH 173ci 3 sp Auto, with an absolutely immaculate SL/X interior, and is still registered, it was bought new by the person I bought it off and has been regularly serviced for all of it's 288000klm's. It only has 1 spot of rust which I will bog up and respray, give it a goot cut'n'polish, replace a few lenses and then I'll get a roadworthy, register it and flog it off.
Now I hear you saying "how much?"...well the answer is $200! It's been sitting in the workshop of one of my customers unused for about 4 months and he needed the space back, so he offered it to me.
So, I plan to fix it up a little, sell it for alot more than I paid for it, and buy an XD V8, and go to town on it.
I'll get some pics tomorrow so you can see how much of a bargain this thing was.

Re: I bought a HOLDEN!

I'm hoping to get about $2k for it with reg and roadworthy, basically enough to get my XD project started.

Re: I bought a HOLDEN!

good luck. most people dont want a 173 motor though. better off putting in a 253 (for the p plate market) but there goes alot of profit though.

Re: I bought a HOLDEN!

I could always market it as a 6 Cylinder, and not specifically a 173.
Of course if they ask what size it is I will tell them its a 173.
