Hey guys,

Basically I've been reading all your posts, and i've discovered that installing a performance air filter can give you a slight performance boost. But you all have been talking about these performance boosting filters in relation to MPEFI's.. How do I upgrade my filter in my good old cfi? Is there neway possible for me to install a pod filter? Or do I have to buy a filter that'll fit into my tennis racket filter box?

Also, is there neway I could fit a filter into the tennis racket box with the lid off, and have the filter still stay put. Cuz I want the noise more just as much as the slight performance increase..

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You can fit one of those round chrome filters with a bit of mucking around. But by doing that all you're gonna be doin is sucking in the hot air in the engine bay and probably lose performance. In my opinion the standard setup is pretty much as good as u can get (with a better filter) tho the front intake/snorkel thing could be made bigger to take in more air.

And if you take the lid off the tennis racket the filter wont be doin anything cos any shit flying round in the engine bay would be able to get sucked into the engine.
