Illuminated Power Window Switches

I was just wondering if anyone who has a BA XR6 NA wiht premium sound has illuminated power window switches?

I know that the XR8s get them if you have premium sound but im not sure if the XR6 does?

Thanks

Hmm, its hard to get an answer.

I thought if you optioned up full power windows and premium sound they would give you the illumination.

Re: Illuminated Power Window Switches

Early build BA's like mine tended to have a mish-mash of illuminated and unilluminated switches depending on what they grabbed out of the parts bin as your car went by on the assembly line.

From BA Mk2 all XR's will have illuminated again (I think) but for BA - at least after the first couple of months - it was just XR8 that had the lit switches...

And as mentioned about, utes are dark no matter what.

Re: Illuminated Power Window Switches

What tha! My series 1 AUXR8 had illuminated switches all round. If they had it back in '98 why don't the BA's have them?

How hard would it be to swap them I wonder? Is it easy as just unpluging the old, plug in the new?

Easy answer is cost cutting.

As for swapping, It should be pretty easy, but Ford charge an absolute motza for the switches!

Re: Illuminated Power Window Switches

I have a BA XR8, Drivers cluster illuminated as well as two other doors, one no illumination. Standard single slot ICC but with tweeters in the "A" pillars, so I go with the theory that whatever bits can be chucked in whilst going down the line.

Priced a single illuminated switch $146.00 +GST (List Price)
