I am looking at buying an EB XR6 S-Pac, the dealer said it puts out 161Kw, is this true? and is there any other major problem areas with them, the paint/body is in good nick and only 139000, they want $7000. Please write and tell me what you think.

Try and source a AU Falcon private sale, they are going for biscuit money these days($12K)

we have an ed xr6 ,had for 5 years got it with 89000ks its now 175000ks and still goes as hard as ever the shocks need replacing, even lost the Ford tick(lifter)after 150k and over all the thing is awesome they are a really good car

donuts Im a big ford fan but since the ba I honestly think all AU sedans cars should be sqaushed at simsmetal 12k because no one wants it and probably got more kms than the eb the guy is talking about

$7000 sounds like a good price to me considering its mileage, provided it is in good condition though.

I don't see too many XR6s for around $7k. I've seen plenty of XR8s for that price though (private sales). $7k is a good price IMO, and as for AUs, they're still falling in price (like donuts said). There's one on www.melbournetradingpost.com.au for $9300 --might not be there now but it was a new ad placed yesterday. There's a few around the $10.5-11.5k mark too.

I saw one for $5,500 once (manual, probably thrashed) in the local rag, but didn't have the cash at the time to make me seriously consider it... or at least check it out.

Meh.....if it was auto, I'd say they are asking far too much. Try private sale? Most of these dealer 'warranties' aren't worth the paper they're printed on by what I hear....

I think it seems like a pretty reasonable price, the k's aren't too bad for an 11 year old car. Cars seem to be a bit cheaper in NSW or is it just me?

I looked at one in a yard here on the GC with more k's but was spotless for $10000 so 7000 sounds like a good price to me if it's in good nick
