just wondering if any og you guys have had trouble with insuarance companys, i have tryed 25 insuarance companies and none of them will touch me. does any one have any ssuggestions

They wont touch you because.
A) you're too young?
B) you have a powerful car?
C) you're attitude?
D) The company doesnt like the modifcations (if any) done on your car?
E) all of the above?

25 different companies, holy sh*t i dunno why. What sort of car do you have champ a modified 351 big block that could run 7's down the 1/4. Plz explain

I'm in the same boat, not even Shannon's or Just Car would insure me. RAA said they would, but would only cover my XF uptop $2,300 (yeah right) and the wheels & stereo weren't covered!

HELLO, it's 3rd party fire & theft... what else are they going to steal besides the wheels and the stereo!

And all because I'm under 25 and have more the 2 mods.

I assuming you are buying a late model XR8. sorry to be the one to tell you this , But most or all of the insurance companies wont touch you with a 100 ft poll until you are at least 25, I am with NRMA and that wont insure the car for anybody under 30.

Also be very careful of any of the small insurance companies that will insure
you at your age ( born in 1984, 20years ). because if they do insure you they will hit you hard in the hip pocket, And when it comes time you need to use your insurance ( Hope you will not need to ) they can be total pricks,

Also if you insure the car in a older persons name and you have a crash
they can and normally will reject your claim. So the only advice I have for you is to get older faster then you can insure your cars with out the hassles

As an NRMA employee what car won't they insure an under 30 year old for ?

There's a few imports we don't but otherwise there's not much else we don't. It all comes down to how silly a premium you wanna pay.

With mods they can be a pain. They're not happy about me wanting a cam change

so if you insure the car in a older persons name and you have a crash
they can and normally will reject your claim. So the only advice I have for you is to get older faster then you can insure your cars with out the hassles

For sure. If you can't afford the insurance should you really get the car ?

No, because he is under the age of 30, so he is a uninsurable driver.
Harry! have you bough the car yet. And did you think about the insurance before purchased it. or are you doing you reserch now
no matter what car I buy I always do a insurance quote on it before I buy. That way I don't get any surprises

Ive done my research and found NRMA to be the cheapest!!
I have 4 different types of insurance with NRMA and because there is 4 or more, they offer a 12.5% discount on each, brings my new Mk2 XR8 quote to $1,400, id recomend that!!!

Only the financial owner of a vehicle should be insuring the car.

Having your parents insure a car that you have a loan for, you pay the rego for and you look after the running costs for, is just asking for trouble.
