Insurance Cost

My BA XT V8 car insurance is due with a price range of $1,250 to $850 for $35,000 cover.
Over 40 (just) and 60% no claim and still 1200 bucks WTF.
So help me out here people with some information on the best priced insurance in WA.
Thanks

This'll make you cry!
RACV insurance on my new BA XR8 with noted extras is $470.
This is for a car in Ballarat, garaged, over 30 driver.
I'm buggered why insurance can be so expensive in your area?

Well, dont know if this helps, but insurance with NRMA, Just Car and others quoted me around $7000+ for my BA XR8 (under 25)... but ford insurse is $4800... I'd imagine they'd be cheaper as well for you guys...

Yeah, try Ford Insure. My AU II cost me $1,400 to insure, and the best I could get elsewhere was $2,200.

I am 24, 0% NCB, live in Randwick.

So, $1,200 is a high insurance cost for you!!

Im with FAI (now Allianz) and pay $360/year for my EF XR6 valued at $16K. AU XR8 @ $28Kwould cost me around $550ish from memory.

Actually try here -

http://www.motorpoint.com.au/

and go to the instant quote page.

I got a quote of $742.24 for a new BA XT with 5.4 V8 using my criteria - 60% protected NCB, only drivers older than 30 no driving offence and a $175 excess.
If I increased the excess to $675 then premium drops to $593.80

Rastus, I think it's cheaper because you live in a country area, therefore not as much chance of theft. I'm just guessing here, so correct me if I'm wrong anyone.
