im curently running the standard 8psi kit on my GT and am contemplating upgrading to intercooler, what benefits can i expect and how much better will it run in the hot weather etc?

Yes the Water-Air Intercooler upgrade for the BA GT / XR-8 is definately a worthwhile improvement... It not only improves power out put but also stabalizes inlet air temps and improves down low acceleration...

Is definately a worthwhile upgrade all round, money well spent..

What sort of power could be expected from an intercooled capa kit (9lb's) on a stock MKII xr8.

The benefits with the Water-Air Intercooler kit are the obvious like improved power out put, but also improved low/mid range power and throttle response etc.. Also cooling air discharge temperatures below what you would be seeing non-intercooled.. In warmer weather it will be alot better are the air temps will be reduced substantially..

is it difficult to install (does the bumper have to come off etc) and will the car require a retune afterwards?

Yes the front bar etc needs to come off so you can mount the cooler assy under inner guard, and condensor to the front of the vehicle... There is a little bit of work involved, but not as difficult as the s/c kit install..

Will pay to once fitted get onto a dyno to ensure all is setup correctly.. If it is a GT, you will also need to upgrade fuel pump to the Bosch system we do to accomodate for the extra power out put..
