Probably worth giving them both a call and having a chat with them.
I havent seen the Herrod gear for the BA I6 yet (I have no doubt it is up to the usual Herrod quality though so would be excellent gear) however I know that xrchic has had the JMM gear put on her BA XR6 NA and it transformed the car. It ran a 14.80 at Heathcote, no easy feat for a BA XR6 NA. So the JMM gear definatly works a treat.

When u talk about JMM Dev kit or Herrod, what do u mean?
Not sure which mods u are talking about?

Hi Heef
Well JMM is Jim Mock Motorsport, who specialise in modifications to 6 cyl Falcons, mainly exhausts and similar and also with Unichips. JMM have Dev kits which are basically different kits ranging from basic mods to the whole lot with extractors, cats, exhausts, chips etc.
Herrod is Herrod Motorsport who work on a fair few Falcons from what I know and they seem to specialise in the V8s (and turbos???). They have their own exhausts etc and also use chip technology. Both places are well known for quality of their work as they are a bit above your regular mod place (IMO).
Oh and the 14.80 my car ran, just out of interest, seems that it was run with the aircon on at the time, a full fuel tank and I dont have LSD. Im hoping to get a bit lower than that with some practice (I had never taken it racing before) and let my broken left foot heal a bit and have a go here in SA at AIR.
So yes, Casper is correct, the JMM gear has transformed the car in a massive way and Im rapt with it. Id recommend JMM to anyone based on personal experience but Id also give Herrods a call too and see what they can do.

i was just reading that the Dev3 kit for the BA gives 180rwkw... is this genuine? does anyone have this kit in their ba?
i'm told by herrod that their exhaust and headers should add up to 20rwkw... making the Ba 158rwkw. so how does JMM get 168-172 with just an exhaust and pod filter? makes me doubt the figures.. as a pod filter wouldn't add that much. would it?

Hi dawal5
Yes I have the Dev3 kit on my BA, as seen in my post above in my sig.
No it does not have 180rwkw. The dyno figure I have at 158rwkw was done here in SA the weekend after I got the mods. However, its seems this may be a little under done too, so I am thinking of having it re dynoed somewhere else just to see. But with a BA Dev3 kit, I would be expecting around the 155 - 160rwkw mark.
The Dev3 kit includes a little more than the exhaust and the pod though. It includes extractors, 2.5 inch cat, 2.5 inch exhaust, air intake conversion and performance plugs.

i'm told by herrod that JUST their exhaust and headers will make the car between 153-158rwkw... can anyone attest to this?? and it's about $1100 cheaper than the dev3 kit. the major difference i can see is the unichip.

is the exhaust note good? is it annoying when cruising.. does it drone?
Hi again
The exhaust note is really good. Nice and rumbly at idle and sounds great when you give it a bit of a caning. Not massively loud, but loud enough. Makes it sound entirely different. And no, no droning... if there was, it would have gone back to be fixed.
