Great article, as per usual!

Now, with the Fairmont officially reduced to 'project car' status...
Reduced? Are you sure you don't mean, "promoted to 'project car' status... "?!

It's great reading/knowing about one's interest and love in a car and making it into something special. Good on ya!

Re: The joys of car modifications

Yeah I think we all can sympathise with what is written, once the bug hits, it keeps on hitting! But hey, modifying cars are a hobby, just like anything else, and if it keeps you occupied and you enjoy it, then what's the problem :)

Top article Jack :)

Re: The joys of car modifications

That was a good read. I hadn't even thought about modifying my EA until I found ford.i8.com and now look at my car! Sure it's still no super modified beast but it's a far way from the car it was back in 2000. No 14' rims with hubcaps, no amber indicators, no 4X4 ride hight at the front with sagging springs in the rear and no tape deck radio. Sadly the sheepskin seat covers remain...

A good read Jack, ou have captured the essence of everybody that thinks, they'll just 'clean it up a bit' then get's hit with a plethora of ideas on how it can be made better/faster, and most importantly cooooooler.
