Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem where if you turn on your aircon your ba falcon looses power ,surges, then if you put cruise on @ 60km or 80km you get a serious of surges.

Re: looking for an answer

never experienced that... sounds interesting, but would be caused by the engine load going up.... does it affect road speed?

Re: looking for an answer

like does the car speed up and slow down? or are just the engine revs surging?

Re: looking for an answer

I had a 04 XR6T, and it didn't lose power with the air switched on, but it often surged on Cruise Control (just like you described, no speed change, just a sensation of being on and off the throttle). It usually did it going down a slight hill, seemed like the computer didn't know whether or not to apply throttle, so it did a bit of both, on and off.

Felt kind of weird though, no other car I have had with Cruise Control has surged like that.
