I read these forums alot, and I did when I was looking and ordering my new BA Xr6.
The internet is great, everyone can come online and Bitch, moan and groan and it seems that everyone is having the same issues, and it makes the model / thing look bad.
Well, I am the owner of a Ba Xr6 Ute, now just on 3'000km/s, Blueprint, and not many options (stereo / Hard cover etc etc)
From Day one, it has been a great ute, carried me from Sydney to Jervis Bay 4-5 times, all around Sydney carring thousands of dollars of dive gear, fuel usage is down to 12.8, average speed is 60kmh, and nothing has gone wrong, she gets more thumbs up for her than a $2 whore and I find every Holden owner coming up and trying to race, pace or out pace me. (they may have me on the straight, but give me a corner and I am outta there)
Corners, handling is fantasic once you get use to driving a bus around corners (from a 4wd is was a litttle change) power wise, I would rather a turbo, but it has enough mumbo for my kind of driving..
I am glad I got a BA, and have not looked back (except to see if the holden has caught up yet)
