75k and an alarm is a dealerfit option ? Is that a joke ? The options seem sparse, didnt they used to come with a fridge ?

drive.com.au said that the lwb was 13mm longer... err 1.3cm will make diff in leg room ?

I visited the Ford website for a squiz at the BA Fairlane/LTD. God save us from the Sales Dept and the spin doctors.

Couldn't even get a good straight picture of the thing, just a bit of the front (mostly blacked out), the dash showed the speedo I think and petrol and temp gauge (does it have oil pressure gauge and charging voltage gauges?)

How much does it weigh?, what's the length of it?

Now if the engineers had designed the site we might get some meaningful information.

How much does it weight? Heaps. How long is it? Bloody long.
I don't think Ford would want people to know how much it weights because it would be scary. I think the V-8's will be close to 1900kgs.

The V8's weigh in at 1865 for the LTD which is the heaviest. I6 weighs at 1770. Something interesting is that the wallpapers which is in the download section has the so called illegal parking lamps on the LTD.

After seeing both cars (LTD and Caprice) and getting a chance to play around with all the toys the Caprice has to offer. IMO the Caprice s%^$# all over the LTD, both in equipment levels and looks. Plus dont forget 220kw vs 245kw. Hope I dont get flamed for this! HEHE. But considering many people will never consider buying one of these LWB cars :wgaf:

I just wanted to know if it was shorter than my NF, cause it looks a bit "dumpy" in the arse.

Weight and power don't really matter to these buyers, they just want it quiet and comfortable.

Ford buyers will almost always buy the Fairlane/LTD and Holden buyers the Statesman/Caprice. Very rarely do these buyers switch, unless something major happens like releasing an AU version of these cars...

All ford have too do is install the REX system as standard but with 2 Monitors and a DVD player. Probelm solved.
But i think the Turbo motor would have been better as an option.

16inch rims too, whats wrong with ford -- they must be losing it, Holdens Caprice looks awesome on the ads, yes anohter good advertisement campaign from our friends at Holden.

17in Mags REX unit and 15 speaker sound system. or Maybe Dual Rex things but that has TV. What else can they put in apart forma Fridge. and a Microwave
