I own an Australian LTD sw. Its a 1977 model (P6?) My question is has anyone seen one of these and does anyone know how many were built?
It seems to be based on the Silver Monarch car. I was told by previous owner that it was built by Ford. I was told that they were built to be used as hearses. Mine was never converted. Some of you may think that its just a Falcon wagon with the LTD front on it. This is not the case, it is a LTD sedan with the wagon part attached. The rear doors still curve at the top not like a wagons that are squared off. If anyone has any information on these cars it will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

There was an XD type one getting around our car club for a while. The guy swore it was factory. It had LTD dash, seats everything.

Got any pictures? I haven't heard of a factory built hearse, although I suppose it is possible.

A little O/T but just after the release of the BA Ford built a few LTD/Fairlaine (AU) fronted wagons for shipment as hearses to the UK (?) I believe. They were stored at Autocare (now Patrick owned) in a storage yard off Cherry Lane in Laverton Vic.

Tags say that it is an ltd sedan. It is a sedan converted to wagon as I said in original blurb. My dad has a sedan version and it identical to the C pillar as my wagon. I thought before I went to see it that it might be a falcon wagon with the ltd front (have seen these too) but its not.

Yeah have pictures but not digital ones and I don't have a scanner. Car is 600km from where I live at present so not to easy to take photos of it. Once I get a scanner or take some photos I will post.
