Hi guys just this afternoon my XR8 ute has just past that 10,000km mark.Guy`s what a difference.At the time it happend I was in second gear with full throttle and i happend just to look at the odometer at that time to see it click over to 10,000 and you are not going to beleive what I felt.The ass end just went side ways and it felt like I just hit the nitrous oxcide boosters.
It was a real wild ride that left me with a smile on my face.

You wouldn't be having a dig at someone on these forum's about this would you,someone who doesn't believe you need to get to this millage before the motor is run in.

I dont know about it being as extreme as your saying, although i noticed a big power increase in my ba after 10000km as well. It also uses less fuel once your run in.

If you hadn't noticed , he's takin' the piss. There has been talk for along time now that these things reprogram themselves at 10,000 and then all of a sudden go better. As the original post implies , its bollocks , and I agree .
