Melbourne: Good Wreckers...

I know theres been at least one thread about this before, but i thought id post another thread to see if theres any new ones...

Does anyone know of any good wreckers in the Melbourne area? I want one who will actually know something about EA's and be able to sell me a whole kit of parts (for MPI for example).

So all you guys who did conversions - where'd you get the parts?

Thanks,

Jase

Pick`a`part in Kylsyth are ok... they wont be able to help you out much, but usually have about 8-12 EAs there.

Yup, Just Falcons on Canterbury Rd, Bayswater are great!!

There is also 'Ferntree Gully Auto Salvage' which are really good too. They are at Rear 1152 Burwood Hwy FERNTREE GULLY Vic 3156.

Re: Melbourne: Good Wreckers...

Just cut the middle man bullshit out and go to where the wreckers get THEIR cars(before ripping you off):

www.pickles.com.au
www.fowles.com.au

I picked up a 4 speed Auto EA 30th Anniv for $600, and the only thing wrong with it was a busted panel and bonnet from pickles damaged auctions. BARGAIN!

Very true guys. If you have the room to keep the thing, grab a whole car from the auctions.

At fowles they sell 5 speed EA's.. not smashed for about $700.

Re: Melbourne: Good Wreckers...

I think every wrecker except Pick a Part are a rip off. I usually get my parts privately and save over half of what a wrecker would charge.

Or like we did at the start of year, get a complete wrecked car. Got a EAII Fairmont Ghia for $175 all up :)

Car is still on the market as far as i know, a few people have called him but no-one has got the money at the moment, including me. $10,000 for that car... I can't believe no ones snapped it up.
