more power

i just bought an au series1 v8 and was wondering what i would have 2 get done 2 get it up 2 the series 3 220kw

Welcome to the forums!!

If it's not the Tickford 185kw a full exhaust (single) will be required. The gain from that would be a great start. Next would be a Unichip fitted/tuned with Cold Air Induction/filter and larger thottle body and injectors.

All this will help alot and your dyno power will be about on the money, although torque and rev range may still suffer a little. The 220 has much better heads, cam and roller rockers. If you're serious look at getting these done aswell combined with a 5.6 stroker kit!! or S/C. Then you will be leaving the 220 and may other great cars behind for sure.

If i was too build another 5.0 litre...as cdaa mentioned.....i'd be definatley putting in a stroker kit...for sure.

U R Probley Looking At Around 1500 -2000 For Every Thing U Need ,then U H[FONT=Fixedsys[size=2]ave To Have It Built Buy Some One That Knows What They Rdoing. I HAVE 230KW 99 XR8 IT EATS 5.7s FOR BREAKFAST
