I saw a new XR8 tonight! (14th Feb). And ya know what...it was mine!
My car has finally arrived at Eclipse Ford. Got the call today when it come in, and I had to go up and see it when I got home from work. I was lucky, they were just closing up.
Had a quick look over it, seemed OK, just dusty. At least I know it exists! I even touched it :s6:
Now I only have to wait for the nice people to get it in shape for me to drive away. Being busy, they said it'd be a week before I'm in XR8 heaven. That's a normal time period isn't it?
I'm not worried...at least I've touched it. Next weekend...cruise time!

guess what got delivered to peter warren smithfield on thursday night.
car number 332525, blueprint XR8 with leather, premium sound and no sunroof. Yeeee haaaaa my baby has arrived. got to touch the bulge as well.
oh what a feeling!
early next week installation of the sunroof and dealer said to pencil in friday 21st for pick up
what a beast.
going back this saturday morning for another inspection
if i'm boring you guys just tell me to shut up, all my mates tell me when they have had enough about my XR8

i'll bet i will come last. something will delay my car.
already i noticed a potential delay.
they fitted the wrong steering wheel.
my car got the fairmont steering wheel (i think) it's a leather wheel but without the poked gripping part of the wheel, it's the same leather right around.
my luck.
