Motor Mag, First Blood!!

after reading the latest issue of motor magazine, i must say that i am very dissapointed with the GT. good to see the typhoon lead the way for the blue oval. any one else read it?

typhoon 0-100km/h 5.71sec
400m 13.96sec, not a bad effort from the auto 6 speed.

Re: Motor Mag, First Blood!!

All cars tested in 35 degree heat hence the slower times. Great effort for the turbo Falcons however securing 1, 2 & 3! Not many could argue that the F6 auto is the best performance car out (this side of $60k) at the moment.

Design for every step.

Re: Motor Mag, First Blood!!

I havn't read the magazine yet but I have heard a few upset Holden people complaining.

Well done Ford for the 1st 2nd and 3rd and lets hope they can lift the V8's up into the game a little more.

Re: Motor Mag, First Blood!!

total domination. holden's ve might close the gap a bit though.

very happy with the result. did you read that they managed to boil the alpine fuel in both the xr6t's and they both stopped. lol.

seems its the v8's handling and front end grip which let it down mostly. (coupled to being heavier and therefore slower)

the typhoon must be one hell of a car. oh.. and autos 2 of the top 3!

Re: Motor Mag, First Blood!!

Surely "Street Machine" will crown the Typhoon the best aussie muscle car, XR6 Turbo was previous, i think.
Even the poms are impressed with its performance. Rumour has it, that Topgear may test one later this year, i cant wait for that, jeremy clarkson sideways in a phoon, lol, cant wait for that.LOL
