They say 14.4 quarter mile and I think it was 12.5 to 150kph. Same issue tests STI which is faster to 100 but about the same to 150. I guess the ford catches up once it has traction and wind resistance is a significant factor rather than just weight. They like the control blade rear end but not the understeer. Can anyone remember what the T3 did the quarter in for Motor and also its time to 150???
TE50: (from PCOTY 2002)

0-1000 m: 25.34 @ 205 km/h
Top speed: 239 km/h
100-0 km/h: 36.8 m

I'd figure that the SS comes with 18" wheels as standard, so therefore it's geared for them. But since the XR8 comes with 17" wheels standard, wouldn't it be better geared to run on 17's?
And I take it these times where all done with a manual XR8 seeing as the auto hasn't come out yet! YuGoStaR I saw the XR8 smoking them up aswell I wonder if they recorded the times before or after they trashed the car to death :HAHA:
This isn't exact of course, because the tyre bead sits into the rim a few mm, but it does show that there is a slight difference, even if it's much less than I first thought.
I'm not losing all hope just yet, but thanks for steering me right julian.
