It was a great day in melbourne today, 33 deg, but in the car it felt more like 50. So, I popped on the air con to cool me down.
But, it didn't work Damn it was hot!
So the question is, is my air con stuffed? I had it regassed in March this year, it seemed to work quite well then. I don't have a cap on my high pressure hose, don't know where it's gone. Now I wanted to know if any gas could escape through where the cap goes, (posted this in general tech - apparently the cap is only to keep dust off it). Can anybody help? Do I need an expert to take a look? If yes, do you e series guys know a good specialist air con place in the eastern suburbs?
Or is it normal for the air con to be blowing hotter air than it is outside ?

id say that one of the seals is leaking which caused a small gas leak over time. an Aircon place would be able to pin point it for you. BTW my Aircon worked great today!!!!

unfortunatly no, try yellow pages, plenty in there, not to sure whos good though.
Hell of a lot there, would prefer one that somebody has used before - hopefully they'll do a good job and I'll only need to take the car in once!

Yep, I got air blowing out, just wasn't cold. Anyway, if today's weather is going to continue for a bit, it could be worth putting it off for a month or so.

I would'nt put it off for a month or so,because as soon as the weather hots up again you will have the same problems, just take it to your local air con mechanic to have a look at it.
Cheers John
