My car heats up too quickly

Okay, here is the problem, I just purchased a EAII Fairmont Ghia with gas conversion, when i drove it to uni, about 35 kms away i noticed it started to heat up, got towards the half way point, and that looked strange to me, then on the way back i used petrol and it was fine. Has anyone had this problem before and knows how to fix this
Thanks in advance

Half way on the temp guage is fine, thats when I find my car runs the best. I dont know why it would differ between petrol and gass though.

Re: My car heats up too quickly

the gas converter actually uses engine coolant to keep it cool, most cars do run warmer on gas but perhaps you should take it to a gas place to get it checked

Re: My car heats up too quickly

Is the temp gauge sitting in the area marked 'NORMAL' ??

If it is, then you have just answered your own question.....
