My car ready for a roadworthy

Still havent bothered with the cut'n'polish too much. I can do that after it's registered. I really want to take it for a long drive. To Heathcote for the FF drag day would be just perfect.

Heres the pics. As I said no GT mockup. Still needs a clean but thats tomorrows job. I start work @ 4:30pm and don't finish till 10:30am tomorrow. Sun light would have been nice as it is shiney. I am getting the rear hangers for the exhaust hopefully started monday. The door rubbers shit me but they'll come good in time.

Not bad for 8 weeks start to finish! I made my deadline. YAY!

Cheers,
Brenden

Re: My car ready for a roadworthy

Once r/w its time for a dyno, then it's time to put my 16" wheels on and go racing. Time to finish off my drag slicks so I can run the 16" alloys on the street and the 15" EL stockies on the strip.

I purchased a new full face helmet today. I am so close to racing but aren't close enough to race on the FF heathcote day.

Re: My car ready for a roadworthy

good one brenx. i know how you feel about the door rubbers. out of interest have you got the metal door catches or the plastic ones. i've found the metal ones to be far better as the plastic ones chew out when closing the doors hard.

You probably mean "stand out like dog's balls in Rice Bubbles"

Tits on a bull is a bad thing, as in "as useless as tits on a bull" - also like "as useless as a pocket in a singlet"

Re: My car ready for a roadworthy

On the funny side of things. I got in the car and thought something wasn't right. Then I realised I forgot to get the windscreen guy to put the rearview mirror on. So did that this morning. lol The button bit should be 100% secure by tomorrow.

nak302 : I've got metal ones.

galaxy XR8 : Should do. I've giving it a quick cut for r/w presentation purposes. It'll come up even better when I get time.

Well done Brenx, have you got the chrome bits for around the rear tail lights on the quarter panel, as they are missing in the photo.

Re: My car ready for a roadworthy

Looks good Brenx. That bonnet looks pretty damn tough, and the color coded leaf springs are a nice touch.

Great job for 8 weeks!
