Re: My Custom Scuff Plates

I'd say go with the XR8 one the XR looks a bit lonely.

What was wrong with the factory ones, was it just that the writing wasnt black???

Re: My Custom Scuff Plates

Thats cool, so how did you make these ones? Is it just a piece of aluminium with the lettering and border in vinyl?

nah, aluminimum and engraved the image in relief. then coated them in epoxy to stop them scratching.

Re: My Custom Scuff Plates

Yeah good point Mondie, I only need some good photo's of gt, xr6 and turbo badges and I could make them to suit the whole range. Only problem is the copyright issue - and colours. From my quick check tonight I could cover Black, Blueprint, Red, Silver, Green, A copper type of orange, and a purple similar to phantom. not all perfect but not bad either.

anyone know about the copyright issues???

anyway, I like doing it for a bit of fun - to much stuffing around (legally) to put it into a paying passtime.

However - I listen to all options! hehehe

Re: My Custom Scuff Plates

Definately go with the XR8, it looks more "complete".
