Hey guys, just thought I'd let you all know that I purchased Jamie's (9psi EB) Supercharged Ford Fairmont today. I couldn't be happier! I had to take it a little easy tonight as the roads are wet, but it was still great fun! It was chirping the wheels beautifully today in the dry! I've got plans for the car (listed below), so hopefully I'll be keeping her for many years to come (*fingers crossed*). For a car of this age it is in mint condition! It's a real credit to Jamie for keeping it in such good condition, and all the time and effort (not to mention the money) he put into her. I've attached a few pics that Jamie took at some stage, not sure how long ago, although she still looks the same as she did then. I loved my old EA, but she's nothing compared to the monty!
Hey that's my blower How much power does it currently have at the wheels?? It's pretty much got EXACTLY the same setup that I'm doing on my car (cept mines an EF XR motor).
I ended up paying around 10k for it, which I'm really happy with as it including a few other things. This car was one of the very first EB's to ever get a CAPA kit. As for power, it was dynoed last September at 210hp at the wheels, running an EL computer and EL cam. Once I change the computer and possibly the cam soon, hopefully I'll push that up closer to 300hp. I'm not really sure what to expect though to tell you the truth. The engine was rebuilt less than 30,000km's ago and it's running 24lb injectors and a secondary fuel pump...
I forgot to mention, I'll be selling the 15" rims and tyres that I have on there in about a week and a half, as the 17's should arrive by the end of the week. I was really impressed with how much the tyres gripped. It's running 225 Pirelli's on the rear and 215 Michelin's on the front. If anyone is keen (preferrably in Perth) just PM me as I'm open to offers. A few of my mates that saw the car tonight were surprised that I wanted to sell the rims, as they are nice looking, but they just aren't big enough for my liking...
