I got a new moutain bike on Saturday. LOL Not a car..



Paid $199 from Rebel Sport - which is pretty good since they retail for USD$250 in the States.

When I questioned the sales guy he said they are great for the price and are so cheap because the head honchos in Rebel bought 27 000 of em and they didn't sell well at the initial price of $399. So $200 off - below half price for a new bike with 12mths free servicing!

I've had a bit of a spin on it. 0-20cm acceleration is better than the EA which puts me back on the seat LOL. 21spd with quick shifters, 76mm travel in the front fork, quick release on everything - no more bloody spanners to adjust things. and a nice light aluminium frame to top it all off. In other words twice the bike that I last bought 3yrs ago for $350 for a lot less price.

Anyone in the market for a cheap mode of transport or wanting to travel faster than walking speed - drop into Rebel Sport this week cos I think the offer ends this weekend.

You must have a bit of a beast Dan. I knew people in high school that paid that much for bikes but they were pretty hardcore - 10 ft straight drops and stuff like I would never do!

Anyway I'm happy with my deal. Even had the tyres I wanted on it LOL..
