hi guys what a weekend it has been! on Friday night I took delivery of my 2nd hand STA stg3 supercharger kit to suit my ed ,it will run a humble 8psi with around 170-180@the Treads (yes I test drove it) on the standard XR i6 spec engine (heh not for long thatll ill be!) the kit has unichip ,indy blues etc etc .
Saturday had to pinch myself! is this happening
Today I ripped into to the engine bay taking out Clutch/fan assembly, shroud , airbox and then the hard to get to stuff!
aircon compressor mounting bracket and that took a while, which had to be modified/cut so the blower bracket fits , remounted a/c bracket and blower bracket fits perfect first go! too easy only the crank pulley to be fitted for belt setup to be done
removed oil pressure switch to fit "T" piece for oil feed to the blower now I have to do the drain to the sump either via tapping a thread or weld a specially made
up fitting in
cleaned everything ,painted some small fittings and blower bracket(flatblack)
just got to paint piping red to match rocker
all thats left to do besides that is put in (all of it prewired to suit the car) thermos ,water inj ,fuel pump/injectors ,paint ,and Unichip/Retune and then buy fancy stuff ,new Bov ,gauges, a big arse air K/n air filter and few other lil things
