NC Fairlane slight shudder under light load at 80KM/H +/- 10KM/h

Can't figure out if it's the transmission or the ignition/fuel system...

The beast is on gas, and has a number of clicks on the clock. But otherwise is a straight up and down car.

It is a NC '93 V8 Fairlane GHIA.

So, motoring along at about 80 k's the car starts to lightly shudder, as if it's hunting for overdrive... it's not a violent shudder and the taco shows a fairly steady 1600ish RPM.

Flick the switch to 'power' mode and the shudder goes away and rev adjust up to around 1900-2000 RPM.

Sometimes happens in cruise mode at around 100KM/H.

Recently serviced Auto and engine. (no tune). No change.

Starting to think it might be something with the gas tune...

Any ideas?...

Ever change the transmission fluid and filter?

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?

Yes changed the auto trans fluid.

No good...

Got a bum steer with the service kit, got told there was no kit and later found out that there is a kit...

So will be having another go.
