Re: Need some low cost power tips.

What are you trying to do exactly? Compression ratios are different EA - EB XR6 for sure. you can put an XR6 cam in and it will be noticeable (I have one in my car).

3. EA did not have pushrods, they were the first OHC engines. And no, this head will not help.

I dont mean to sound rude, but it is clear that your knowledge of these cars is not that great and the only to learn about them is to listen to those that do.
Whoa I never wrote 150 at the wheels! As for pushrods thanks for pointing this to me I'm new to these newer fords. Before that I had an XC 4.1Ltr 9 years ago, but do have an XW Fairmont 221. No I don't see you as rude. I'm grateful for you're help.

Man where is my 265 hemi Charger 770 VH "sigh" regret for selling it. With 238kw at rear end and not fully worked. Might as well buy another one to do my thrashing and joyriding with a 265 hemi and keep EB for smooth comport family drives. "sigh"

Re: Need some low cost power tips.

Good stuff mate, okay, how much are you prepared to spend on modding the car? budget sounds like its your main issue. As stated, things like cam, extractors are good, but when you starting adding up the prices for getting all of them done, it becomes not so cheap. I cant understand that you may wish to have 200rwKw, but realisticly, thats very difficult to acheive given your budget.

I’m still thinking about it, just need to know what’s available. Budget wise I would say $1,200 to spend. And am willing to do the work myself if need be.

No for real mate left peter brock specials and 750cc Motor bikes for dead. Not kidding mate these 265 six cylinders really go!!!!! Don't know what cam it had, all I know it had Genie extraxtors, 500 holly carb and engine was bored out .40 thou. That's how i bought it and the same night only to discover it went over 120Mph and still going. And it was confirmed later then when i was a machanic apprentic, my boss put to the test and this was a way long time ago.

I'm not kidding when I say these 265 hemi really go.

I had a drag with an R/T 49 and this guy beat me only two car lengths…And it was a genuine R/T as we later had a chat and saw the compliance plate with my own eyes.
I’ve even dragged off a Charger 360 with my 265 and have people who will testify to it happily for you.

Click here to see how they perform…http://www.valiant.org/nz.html

Sorry for even mentioning it as I’m a true ford fan, but heck I’m human I tend to lean towards the 265 hemi’s

Sure the 265 hemi was a fast car when massaged but you can't seriously expect me to believe it left 750cc bikes for dead. That I would like to see in almost any street car.
