erm wrong forum but ill tell ya anyways i think hte V6 is around the 145kw mark while the V8 is 165

i think its the ecotec that makes 145/147kw..thats in the VS onwards..vr was considerably less i think..but i could be wrong..i think the VR is 130kw

I am wanting to give a friend a drag 1/4 style and i have a 1988 fairmont ghia....

with extractors and 2.5 zorts... just trying to sum up the whole situation!!

The ghia has 139kw standard + whatever extra the extractors and the 2.5 zorst give it...

i hope its on a drag strip or somewhere legal..i didnt think a stock ea would make that much..i guess its got efi being a fairmont so it might..depends on transmission and if the engine is worn out..if ones a manual and the other is auto i would bet on the manual

the EA will probably win that one although it is a ghia which packs on the kilos

Yes it is legal, one of my mates owns a farm and has old air strip..

I'll give you the run down.

Yes it does have EFI
extractors 2.5 zorst
and a modified air in take (XF)

the 3 inch system on the 3.8 litre 6 is way overkill i imagine he is actually loosing power i reckon u'd flog it if its got nothing else done
