Yeah I saw it again during the cricket...

Why on earth can't they update it a bit and flash a few captions claiming all the awards it's been given... car of the year, best sedan under $X, best performance car under $57k.. any logical reason for this?

These are the sorts of things you have to flog to death through tv.. not just a few newspaper ads and a couple of banners here and there..

Are you talking about the one's with Skaifey, his kid and a Hophouse green SS? One is at the kids soccer game and the other is in a driveway. They seem a bit desperate by bringing in Skaifey if you ask me. They can't be selling enough commodores .

In the add when they talk about the "big V8" I can't help but scream at the TV, "Yeah, the big V8 that needs to be rebuilt after only a few thousand k's!"

(Not to mention it's also the V8 that can't beat the XR6T!!!)

Yeah I have seen both the new VY adds and it does have an air of desperation about it.

Firstly... Holden try to bring a strong link between the VY SS and racing by using Skaife and having the kid talk about it being 15 times bathurst winner blah blah blah...

Secondly... The ONLY reason they put across to the audience, in an attempt to convice us all to forget the competition, is that its Australia's favourite car... Not for long.

They are very quick and dirty adds, I can only hope Ford spring for another one telling us all about the myriad awards Falcon continue to win and the overwhelming praise it has received from any motoring journo that has driven one.
