That is exactly what I did when I picked up my ute, a checklist. No doubt you would have all the obvious checks already, paint, panels, interior, wheels tyres and I ussually have a good look underneath for oil leaks and scrapes or dings from being transported, I could not find a fault with mine at all. You will notice when you first drive it out of the yard how tight the engine is and the slow transmission changes but as mine ran in it loosened up a lot, still loosening up.
