Hey people,

I have an XH 99' model Falcon, longreach ute. I am lookin to buy a new limited slip dif for it, and have no idea what my options are, or what to buy...

Can anyone gimmie some advice on whats best to buy? and what would be some better ratios and all that???

What trans, what usage, what ratio now, is it hydratrac, LSD or open?

i believe that all the wagon diffs (EB on) will fit to an XH
the reason i say EB on is that these were the firs ones to have the plate type yoke on them unlike the Uni yoke on EA's

Yes Hydratrak was introduced with the VR HSV GTS. The chances of seeing it on a stock XH are limited.

A normal LSD transfers power from the wheel that slips to the wheel that grips in an instant. Hydratrak progressively feeds power from one wheel to the other, making for smoother and safer burnouts

. It was dropped from HSV's line-up with the VT, but I believe 300 kW models all use it.

Its a 5 speed manual trans.. its a standard diff which seems to only drive the rear right... and im not too sure bout the ratios? soz...

the limited Longreach OUTBACK utes had a hydratrack diff in them would be worth a mint if you could get one

Bro throw in a 3.45 LSD out of an XR6, or if you want a animal put in a set of 3.9s but I sugest 3.45LSD to start.

Thankx blwneb... ill get looking... does the 3.9s make much of a difference with acceleration?
