New MkII Falcon Pricing

Ford Australia today released pricing details of its new Falcon MkII range.

"The BA Falcon has been an incredible success story for the company and the MkII update will build on that success," Marketing and Sales Vice President Bruce McDonald said.

"We have incorporated a large range of customer focussed features in the Falcon MkII range, spearheaded by a new six-speed manual transmission engineered by the Ford Australia team to complement the superb driving dynamics of our XR6 Turbo and XR8 models.

"Creature comforts such as cruise control and automatic headlamps are now standard across the Falcon passenger range.

"Futura now boasts side airbags and power adjustable pedals and the XR6 and Fairmont Ghia feature stylish new 17-inch alloy rims."

McDonald emphasised the value package of the MkII range, with the average increase across the range kept to just 0.8 per cent.

"The combination of exciting locally designed and engineered product and a sharp pricing strategy will further consolidate the success of the outstanding Falcon range," he said.

BA Falcon MkII recommended retail pricing:*

Falcon XT sedan - $34,255
Falcon XT wagon - $36,960
Futura sedan - $38,260
Futura wagon - $40,345

Falcon XR6 sedan - $38,655
Falcon XR6 Turbo sedan - $46,350

Re: New MkII Falcon Pricing

Man the prices keep going up, I think these are overpriced myself but that's just my opinion, just 3-4 yr's ago the XR8 was under $50k around $46-47k,but I suspose that's how these company's make their muller.

Jeez you would hope that you get a free luxury pack with that XR6 Turbo new price! How the hell can they justify a $2385 jump!

Simple, the demand is there.

Those prices are manual and automatic where models are only offered as such, eg Futura Wagon.

Re: New MkII Falcon Pricing

Like to see the XR8 auto price. A similar 2.3% hike as per the manual will take some justifying, at least with the man they can point to the gearbox. But hey when you gotta good product exploit it, but we buyers have long memories so okay to exploit the product just don't exploit the buyer.

Re: New MkII Falcon Pricing

In the process of getting th cheapest MKII xr8 i can find, rang a few dealers today and got quoted $52,6oo on road for a 6 speed with metalic paint and Premium sound right off the bat no questions. Only problem is he said if i wanted to mod it its herrods or no warrenty. Guess what hes a herrod dealer. D day this saturday now to choose a colour.
