hey i just brought a new bf xr6 ute and im taking it back today because there are to many things wrong with the car.

Rear bar marked
Door handles – terrible paint finish
Tonneau Cover – scratches and bad painting, i can see thru spots of the paint
Tray Liner – rough finish on the tailgate and scratched badly
Scratch under bonnet/engine bay on the top of the radiator
Right-hand pillar scratched
Scratch on tail gate hinges – finish it looks like it has been painted over some dust
Locks scratched
Terrible paint finish on tub
Traction control light not working

i cant belive that they would sell a brand new car with these problems. im going into ford shortly and going to get them to fix it.

has anyone else had any problems like this? and what happened?

back from the dealership they took some notes and photos and are going to get incontact with ford for them to authorize the repair. im really not happy with the quality of the paint hopefully i should get a respray.

i love this 'we need to take photos' crap, hasn't any one at the dearlerships got the balls to say yes thats a waranty problem, we will fix it, my sons waranty problems are still not sorted 5 months after purchasing his ute, mines finally got a date for some body work to be fixed up (tailgate alignment), good luck with getting your faults sorted, and keep us informed

if you have it only a few days then return the ute , you solictor will explain how , yes it can be done

they are going to take photo's.
You should also.
I am not sure on the current legality, but Digital images were not admissable in court last time i checked.

Get an independant 3rd party to verify the photo's, or even take them. A friend in blue...get his sergeant. An independant body shop to critique it, or even contact your insurance company. Some insurance companies will assess and check a car, provide a written report..

There are companies like wreck check that will also provide reports. There are MANY avenues to explore here.

Try to avoid putting lots of k's on the car and act quickly. Lemon laws do apply in Australia.

I would not of handed over the cheque and take delivery of the car untill i was happy with it .
