I have an auto EF Falcon that makes a rattling/knocking noise when idling in gear or in low acceleration. When idling in Neutral there's nothing and anything above 20km/h is fine (a little shaky at around 90km/h but goes once above 95km/h) does anybody have any idea what it could be. Am taking it in to be looked at but would like to have some idea of what it might be before hand.

wheres the sound coming from? engine, box, tailshaft?
i might start at uni joints, gearbox or eng mounts.. could be anything... its one of those things you prob got to be there to hear it first hand..
you could try putting the rear on axle stands in gear running and climb underneath if your game.

Chech out Flywheel for looseness with a large screwdriver. You shouldbe able to remove the bell housing cover plate (tin Plate) to do this. Sounds like it is in this area, that is clutch plate ,throwout bearing etc. Good luck... let us know the outome.
