Not a another air box mod for $15 bucks

Just spent 30 minutes toying around with my V8 air box, come up with this idear.
1)Drilled 2X40mm holes with hole cutter.
2)Push two pvc pipe joiners through the holes.
3)Fit two apx 250mm lenghts of pcv pipe to the joiners.
4)Slide air box back into place with the two lenghts of pile fitting firmly between bottom of headlight and front panel, pipes are leaning downwards.
Go for a drive no whisle just a nice intake growl and no engine flat spot at 4800rpm, just rev's straight up to rev limiter.
Cost about $15 bucks as i had left overs from a reticulation job.

I would think your flatspot before redline in the el is the heads, not air intake!!!

there you go you learn something new everyday.

Mind you $15 air box mod would have been a better pill to swallow than heads related!

cheers twinpiston.

NOt a prob, the E7 heads were very restrictive, if you could give tnem a quick clean, would improve everything!!!

I dont know how this is a ricer mod. Seeing as it is cheap effective and not very noticable, everything a "ricer mod" is not.

I say good job on the box mate
